History - Hosts

‘Den Engel’, a property which dates back to the 17th century with a rich history serving many purposes. From bakery to farmhouse, grocery store, mayor’s house and doctor's cabinet.......

At the end of the 19th century ‘a l’Ange’ was an ‘inn’ where parents visiting their daughters residing at the next door boarding school had their meal. In 1900, Den Engel was thouroughly refurbished.

The area now containing the B&B rooms was used to keep cattle, flour and grain.

Den Engel is a privately run business established by Adinda & Joris previous expats themselves with a wealth of international experience in combination with four spoken languages (English, dutch, French & Spanish). The B&B is the result of their ambition to accommodate and spoil guests from different countries and cultures. They are truly passionate about hospitality and will make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
